Home Free #2 is in the last 48 hours!

It has beena great campaign so far! We are over 100% funded at this point and looking towards a stretch goal. As I write this we are also at 75 backers , and heading towards our last backer goal at 80 backers. I believe we will get there, so here are the comics all backers will be receiving:

That’s a pretty good list of indie comix right there from a group of talented folks that helped me push this campaign to new heights. The independent comic community is full of good people and I’m happy to be a part of it.

Our stretch goal:

Signing every book is something I would love to do anyway, but this entails the books starting with me, and then mailing a batch to Tobias in Washington, and him mailing them to Michelle in North Carolina. And then I will have another batch to send to Michelle only. and if there is any damage, we will have to do it again. We are pretty close to being able to do this, so if you haven’t yet backed, consider it.

Michelle and I hope to have issue 3 out before the end of the year, but it all depends on a few things. First, issue 2 has got to be fulfilled. I am printing domestically this time around, so we are hoping that the comics arrive much faster than they did with the first campaign, but if they aren’t in your hands by November, we have to wait for 2023. And that’s the second problem, December/January are notoriously bad months for Kickstarters, and no matter how much I believe in my story, I won’t launch in a month that is notoriously bad. Of course, if that is the case, 2023 will just be the year of Home Free, as we hope to complete this series next year. Good times ahead.

Once October hits I’d like to talk a little bit about my next comic The Long Death. The art for this gothic horror graphic novella is more than halfway complete, and while I thought I would be releasing it next year, we still have 3 issues of Home Free and the graphic novel The Black Wall to put out. So maybe 2024? If anything, creating comics teaches patience, so I can wait for production. What I can’t wait for anymore is not talking about it and showing some images. Even if it is a year or more away from being released.

Have a great weekend guys. I know I will be celebrating, maybe opening one of my “cellared” BBA stouts. My cellar is just a box in my pantry…yup.
